South Korea - Administrative Notice of Draft Amendments to 34 Electrical Appliance Safety Standards

​The Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) has announced a draft revision to the Electrical Appliance Safety Standards in accordance with the Electrical Appliances and Household Goods Safety Management Act. 

The purpose of the revision is to increase understanding among stakeholders (e.g., companies and certification bodies) by revising administrative terms and correcting minor errors in safety standards for electrical products.

The amendment includes technical updates for the safety standards of 34 categories of electrical products, covering a wide range of household, commercial, and industrial equipment.​
